Mr. Palazzi is a Member of the Board of Advisors of Atlantico Capital. He has more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure space, where he has been involved in different equity and project finance transactions across Europe, North America and Latin America. Holding an MBA from Boston University and a post-graduate degree in Natural Gas Engineering, as well as a BD in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Metropolitana de Venezuela, Mr Palazzi is fluent in English and Spanish.
Mr. Palazzi currently serves as Managing Director Acciona Infraestructure US. Prior to joining Acciona, he worked for almost 4 years at Vinci Concessions as Managing Director for North America and business development director for Latin America, overseeing important Transactions in the infrastructure space in 4G concessions in Colombia, the acquisition of Linea Amarilla project in Peru and some PPP projects in the US and Canada.
Prior to joining Vinci, Mr. Palazzi was Chief Operating Officer for Metropistas (a Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Fund and Abertis Infraestructuras joint company) where he had overall responsibility for the company’s operations planning and oversight activities, including with respect to all maintenance and capital expenditure matters.
Between 2006 and 2012, Mr. Palazzi held positions as Director of North American Toll Roads for Abertis and Vice President of Abertis USA, where he was responsible for Abertis operations in the United States, as relates to the toll road sector and the PPP market. He served as President of Autopistas de Puerto Rico as well, where he was responsible for the financial performance and overall management of the company, including the management of concession contracts, compliance with operating standards and relationships with key stakeholders.
