Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructures, energy and water sectors, has completed the debt restructuring of its subsidiary Abengoa Peru, with the signature of a US$ 30 million long term financing with Darby Overseas Investments, that is going to be used for the repayment of outstanding debts and to provide new liquidity for the development of current and future projects.
With this new debt profile, the Company will have more operational flexibility to develop its backlog, to bid in new projects and to maintain its status as one of the most relevant players in Peru in its field of operations.
Atlantico Capital Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to Abengoa Peru in the closing of the facility, with RC Law and Rebaza, Alcazar & De las Casas acting as borrower’s New York and Peruvian counsels respectively. Clifford Chance and Echecopar Baker & Mckenzie acted as New York and local counsels to the lender.
